into thy care this night: let thine all-seeing eye keep watch upon us, and thy fatherly hand be continually over us. We know that we are always exposed to many dangers both in our bodies and in our souls; and that we are helpless and wretched without thee. Glory be unto thee, that thou dost not leave us without hope, but graciously invitest us to repose ourselves and all our cares upon thee. Increase in us, O Lord, the habit of entire dependence upon thee, and of cheerful resignation to thy will.
