The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend David Fraser to the church and parish of Nigg, in the presbytery of Tain and county of Ross, vacant in consequence of the Reverend John Macalister, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

In pursuance of the directions of an Act, passed in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of His late Majesty King George the Third, intituled "An "Act to repeal so much of two Acts, made in "the tenth and fifteenth years of the reign of "His present Majesty, as authorizes the Speaker "of the House of Commons to issue his warrant "to the Clerk of the Crown for making out "writs for the election of Members to serve in "Parliament, in the manner therein mentioned, "and for substituting other provisions for the like "purposes:"

I do hereby give notice, that the death of Valentine Maher, Esq. late a Member serving in this present Parliament for the county of Tipperary, hath been certified to me in writing, under the hands of two Members serving in this present Parliament; and that I shall issue my warrant to the Clerk of the Crown to make out a new writ for the electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the said county, at the end of fourteen days after the insertion of this notice in the London Gazette.

The Queen has been pleased to present the Reverend Donald Macdonald to the church at Steinscholl, in the presbytery and isle of Skye, vacant by the transportation of the Reverend Henry Beatson to the parish of Small Isles, in the presbytery of Skye.

The Right Honourable Sir Nicholas Conyngham Tindal, Knt. Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Common Pleas, has appointed Thomas Clarke, of Craven-street, in the county of Middlesex, Gent. to be one of the Perpetual Commissioners for taking the acknowledgments of deeds to be executed by married women, under the Act passed for the abolition of fines and recoveries, and for the substitution of more simple modes of assurance, in and for the city of London, also in and for the city and liberties of Westminster, and also in and for the counties of Middlesex, Essex, Kent, and Surrey.
