The following report comprises a statement of the operations of the Board for the year ending Sept. 30, 1891, under the provisions of the food and drug acts of 1882 and the amendments of later years. The following analysts and inspectors have constituted the working force of the Board, as in the previous year: The number of samples of food and drugs examined during the year was 5,294, making the total number of samples examined under the provisions of the acts relating to food and drug inspection 40,965.
