An Act for granting to Her Majesty certain sums of money required for defraying certain expenses of the Civil Government of the Province, for the fiscal half-year ending June thirtieth, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and for other purposes connected with the Public Service. [Assented to May 2nd, 1885.] MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN: WHEREAS, it appears by messages from His Honor, Preamble the Honorable JAMES COX AIKINS, Lieutenant-Gov ernor of the Province of Manitoba, and the Estimates accompanying the same, that the sums hereinafter mentioned in the schedules of this Act are required to defray certain expenses of the Civil Government of this Province, and of the Public Service thereof, and for other purposes for the fiscal half-year ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six. May it therefore please Your Majesty, that it may be enacted, and it is hereby enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, as follows: 1. From and out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Province of Manitoba, there shall and may be applied a sum not exceeding in the whole, the sum of two hundred and seventy-one thousand five hundred and sixtyone dollars and fourteen cents ($271,561.14) for defraying the several expenses of the Civil Government, and Public Service of this Province or otherwise, for the fiscal halfyear ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and the sum of four hundred and fifty-seven thousand nine hundred and sixty-five dollars and thirty-five cents ($457,965.35), for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight Grant for year hundred and eighty-six, which are set forth in Schedules "A" and "B" annexed to this Act, and for other purposes therein mentioned. ending 30 June 1886 to be not more than $457,965.35 Accounts here under to be submitted to L. A. next session Form, &c., &., of said accounts 2. Accounts in detail, of all moneys expended under the authority of this Act, shall be laid before the Legislative Assembly of this Province at the then next session thereof. 3. The due application of moneys expended under the authority of this Act, shall be accounted for in such manner and forms as shall be directed. |
