CHAPTER 106.

An Act for granting to and raising and expending further sums of money for His Majesty, required for defraying certain expenses of the Civil Government of the Province for the fiscal year ending the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and for the other purposes connected with the Public Service.

WHEREAS

THEREAS it appears by Message from His Honour, Preamble. SIR DOUGLAS COLIN CAMERON, Knight Commander of the Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Manitoba, and the Estimates accompanying the same, that the sums hereinafter mentioned in the schedule to this Act are required to defray certain expenses of the Civil Government of this Province, and of the Public Service thereof, and for other purposes, for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen,

May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and it is hereby enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, as follows:

1. From and out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Sum of Province of Manitoba there shall and may be raised and applied defraying ex$208,304.00 for a sum not exceeding in the whole the sum of two hundred penses of civil and eight thousand, three hundred and four dollars, for year ending defraying the several expenses of the Civil Government and 1916. the Public Services of the Province, or otherwise, for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, which are set forth in the schedule annexed to this Act.

CHAPTER 107.

An Act respecting Surveys.

[Assented to March 10th, 1916.]

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as "The Surveys Act."

2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires(a) the expression "surveyor" means a Manitoba land "Surveyor." surveyor, authorized to practice as such under chapter 190 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1913;

3. 4.
