CHAPTER 16. An Act to amend "The Charity Aid Act" H [Assented to March 10th, 1916.] IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the "The Charity counts where infant. 1. "The Charity Aid Act," being chapter 28 of the Revised Amendment of Statutes of Manitoba, 1913, is hereby amended by adding to Aid Act." section 23 of said Act the following clause:-"In the event of the Hospital acpatient being an infant under the age of twenty-one years, patient is residing with a parent or guardian, the parent or guardian of such infant shall be liable to such municipality for the amount paid by the municipality as aforesaid, and same may be collected in the manner aforesaid from such parent or guardian, but, if not collected from such parent or guardian, such patient and his or her estate shall not be exempt from liability, and, in case of payment by such parent or guardian, such parent or guardian shall be entitled to be repaid by such infant or out of his or her estate. 2. This Act shall come into force the day it is assented to. CHAPTER 17. An Act to amend "The Charity Aid Act" [Assented to March 10th, 1916.] IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the 1. Section 28A of chapter 28 of the Revised Statutes of Section 28A of "The Charity Manitoba, 1913, being "The Charity Aid Act," as enacted by Aid Act" section 5 of chapter 18 of 4 George v, is hereby amended by amended. inserting the words "or by the clerk of the municipality from which the patient shall have come" after the word "admitted" in the eighteenth line thereof, and by inserting the words "or municipality" after the word "hospital" in the twenty-third line thereof, and the words "the municipality or" after the word "paid" in the twenty-sixth line thereof. 2. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to. |
