The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.

And she conceived of the Holy Ghost. Hail, Mary, etc. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail, Mary, etc.

And the Word was made flesh.

And dwelt amongst us.
Hail, Mary, etc.
Let us Pray.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may, by His passion and cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection: through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

ACT OF GRATITUDE. TO THE BLESSED

TRINITY.

I adore Thee, O most holy Trinity; I glorify, bless, and praise Thee; I give Thee thanks for all the gifts of nature, of grace, and of glory, which up to this time Thou hast granted to me, to all men, and to angels; and especially I thank Thee because, in the midst of so many perils of body and soul, Thou hast brought me peacefully through the night just past, and hast preserved me without harm unto this day. How many, alas! have even now been snatched from their bed to stand before Thy judgment-seat, and have perished for ever.

The living, O Lord, the living shall praise Thee as I do this day.

ACT OF OBLATION. TO GOD THE FATHER.

O everlasting Father! to Thee do I send forth my first aspiration, the first warm emotion of my heart: to Thee do I offer up my whole self, all the powers of my soul, all the senses of my body, and everything that I have. O my Father! Thou, who art the light of this new day, accept my early offering of love, and unite it with the burning love and precious merits of Thy beloved Son.

O God of my heart, what have I in Heaven but Thee? and apart from Thee, what do I desire on earth?
