The Weather.-January comes in with moderate winter weather,
but inclined to be dull and cloudy. Rather stormily inclined about the 7th day,
with some downfal; after that time moderately steady winter weather may
be looked for. We think that the lowest temperature for this month may be
about the 18th or 19th days, after which time the air will get a little dryer, and
the weather more moderate, and although not severe, yet it will be of the
general character for this time of the year to the end of the month. Spring
tides for this month only rise to a moderate height.

The Grimsby Packet leaves Grimsby, about 4 hours before high water
at Hull; leaves Hull, for Grimsby, a little before high water. The
Packets for Gainsborough, Selby, Leeds, Thorne, Doncaster, Sheffield,
Goole, York, &c., leave Hull from 2 to 3 hours before high water.

The Weather.-February is generally accounted a wet month, and for the present year it appears very likely there will be the full quantity of downfal, either in the form of rain or snow, or probably both. The barometer for the most part of the month will range low, although it may get a little finer towards the latter part of the month, with a dryer air and more wind. The winds will be variable during the month, changing from northwest to north-north-east, and sometimes very cold from the easterly quarter. From the 7th to the 12th or 13th, the weather will be the worst, with the barometer very variable, and the temperature of the air for the whole month will not be above the average of what it usually is in February,
