THE President having opened the Meeting with a speech expressive of the great interest he felt in the welfare of the Society, and the satisfaction with which he regarded its prosperity,

The Secretary read the Report of the Council dated the 1st May, 1839, whereupon it was

Resolved, That the said Report be received and printed for the use of the Members.

The Secretary then read the Report of the Auditors, dated the 29th April, 1839, whereupon it was
