I am glad therefore on your behalf. v. 1-16. Col. 4.7.

1 Cor. 1.4. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ.

1 Cor. 4.14. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. 15. For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

1 Cor. 8.13. If meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

2 Cor. 1.4. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, So our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 14. Ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are our's in the day of the Lord Jesus. v. 23,24. 2 Cor. 2.4.

Out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. v. 1-17.

2 Cor. 3.2. Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men.

2 Cor. 12.14. The third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. 15. I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. 16. I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile. 19. We do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying. 21. And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already.

2 Cor. 13.9. We are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

.

Gal. 4.11. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. 12. Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all. 19. My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, 20. I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. v. 11-20.

Eph. 3.13. I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Eph. 6.22. Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. v. 24.

Phil. 1.3. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. 7. I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8. For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. 24. To abide in the flesh is more needful for you. 25. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26. That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

Phil. 2.19. I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your

state.
