Rebel With a Cause ~ Finally Comfortable being Graham (edition 1995)by Franklin Graham (Author), Ruth and Billy Graham (Afterword)In his autobiography, Franklin Graham tells his story of how God has taken his life and turned it into His Glory. Elizabeth Dole says, "Franklin has provided a very thoughtful and provocative account of how a young man develops and matures in his faith as the son of one of the world's most respected and admired spiritual leaders." This book has been sitting around my shelves for sixteen years, recommended to me shortly after I became a Christian...and yet I've avoided reading it for no particular reason I can think of. That being said, it's a pretty good read, not glossing over nor glorifying Franklin's wild, wild days before he decided to give up rebellion to start following Jesus. The author shows his own flawed nature, while struggling as the son of a famous preacher. I never felt the book was preachy, but more of a journal of this young man's journey into maturity. Michael Comments: Good account of Franklin's Life and what he's doing today with the Samaritan's purse.
