God said, “ Let there be light,” and there was light, where all had, until then, been dark; and order and harmony succeeded to confusion. The seas, and the dry land, which seem to have been originally mingled together, became distinct, and occupied the stations appointed to them; after which, they were furnished with their respective animals and plants.
